I was a member of the old LAL group some years ago. Even made Admin. Dropped out of Mx for a while because of illness and travel and dropped back into the room a while ago. I remember LAL as a vibrant forum with many regulars and a happy atmosphere.

Now there's nobody there recently but Site.

What happened??

Well, things just died down gradually, I guess... and I've been too busy and too restricted to liven it up again. It started going that way ever since the shutdown of the official WinMX servers. I guess we can lay some of the blame with the bickering on who should continue being the main maintainer of the unofficial caches and all that... so instead of uniting everyone, division ensued and thus things just died. I think I'm still keeping up the room - I'm guilty of not having checked into there in forever, so I don't even know it's status.. but am I correct in thinking that you got to this forum thanks to visiting the room?
