Thrown on the Ropes, We Shan't Give Up
Thrown on the ropes, we shan't give up,
As so many years through life we've fought.
Our precious efforts we'll waste if we stop
Fighting for our cause through act, emotion and thought.
We may waver, we may quiver,
We may not have the strength to stand,
But for our cause we shall deliver,
And for our cause we shall command.
We may be weary and weak and worried,
Our minds may spill of distress,
And our strains may leave us flurried,
But we shall not put forth any less.
We are the tired, the sick, the sore,
We are the troubled, the harassed and the scared,
We are the weak, but we will fight more,
And we will prevail even if no one cared.
