Yearning an Embrace
As I watch from far a distance,
Feelings grip my heart and squeeze.
My eyes show little resistance
As the tears flow out with ease.
I keep yearning your embrace -
It is very warm and caring,
And a smile shows on your face
For the moment we are sharing.
My resolve yet briefly wavers
To chase after you and yell
"Can I ask you of more favors?"
And then of the yen I tell.
As you slide your arms around me,
Your slow breathing fills my ear.
I know you smile, though I can't see
And my cheek partakes your tear.
