Waste of Time
While Time had walked the street I said,
At joining with His pace,
"For whom you walk?" "For 'live and dead"
He thus replied with grace.
"But never making breaks is tough!
How do you manage this?"
"Don't waste your time, you've said enough!"
Returned He with a hiss.
And such peculiar parting words
Of Time, whom I had chased,
How aptly placed among absurds
The questions I embraced.
Thus let it be a helpful thought
For those who questions stake:
Wondering for wondering's sake
Is wandering a lot.
